My Friend got approached by a modelling agency called ur Models they want her to go to london for fashion shoot they say its for high street fashion modelling however I’m worried its a scam because they want a £75 booking deposits?
the company they want her to ho to is New York Fashion studios its at 199 warders street I’ve looked online and found loads of good reviews on you tube so it seems legit however i always think its good to ask other people for myself i figures that the model advice centre was a good company to ask as you know all the top model companies?
when she goes they are saying its for a test shoot and that she might not get chosen which seems pretty normal when i got offered my contract from my agency i only had to pay £50 booking deposits and i guess that is what worries me most £75 seems a strange amount!
If you have any info on them it would help me loads as i don’t want us to travel all the way from dublin for nothing as we have to take a ferry to wales and from there a five hour coach!
i googled ur models scam however i found reviews from people who have been unsuccessful complaining cos theydidnt get picked i know for fact this is normal people can be idiots i one heard someone
Any tips or advice? on ur models? have you used them? do you think that ur models scam is a thing or not!

I did i changed them and we carried on not to much palava but it just put a downer on my day they were my favourite heels and i only bought them two days prior.

I would have said more of a five minute but i guess that just depends how fast you walk.
It is about a ten minute walk. easier to walk than get a taxi. the traffic just doesn’t move its constantly at a standstill.

I did that Lauren i forgot my full suitcase and took an empty one! i couldn’t believe i could e so stupid but here i was in the light of day no clothes no shoes but i borrowed from the studio they had everything i needed and i looked hot!
I’m a complete ditz and forgot mine good job they had some at the studio i could borrow.

Hi Ashlee i took five outfits with five different pairs of shoes just to be safe turned out i was bang on i also brought some accessories with me even though they have a few but i thought i’d take my own just in case

Hi sophie no i don’t reckon they will allow you to do your own make up and its part of your fun filled day however if you speak to the make up artist when you get there she should be able to help you out a little. i’m not sure what exactly she will do as i guess everyone is different.
Im tetchy about my eyes being touched does anyone know if i can do my own makeup?

I agree with jimmy i think that they deserve more credit that what they get and what is the complaint about the cold weather? I don’t really think that has anything to do within the walls of GT they cant create a corner of sunshine for models unfortunately.

Kim what do you want them to do they work miracle to get you to look so good you want them to change the weather too! Plus if you brought that outfit and chosen that outfit to wear surely that tells you its not the studios fault you’d have noticed the weather on your way in yet still agreed to it? that’s on you not them really isn’t it.
I had a shoot two weeks ago even though i agreed to go outside i thought it was too cold for the outfit i had brought with me.

Yes i guess so. Maybe we got mixed signals through that i was just talking about how i felt about my day during the modelling.

Because i got it recommended to me so i thought i would give it a shot. but i didn’t like being in front of the camera. But i guess just because i didn’t enjoy it doesn’t mean nobody else will.

That doesn’t sound to good Luke perhaps you didn’t get it because you didn’t enjoy it. they do say if you love what you do you never have to work a day in your life! Maybe if you got into the swing of things then you’d have enjoyed it more and might have been accepted.

As much as everyone is entitled to the own opinion it doesn’t mean that they can harm a company BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH that is not the companies fault that’s the wannabe models fault. from someone who didn’t make it be a model.

How much more can they do for you they tell you what to do step by step. CLEAN OUT YOUR EARS! There’s nothing more they can do for you if you’re too thick to understand they tell you to do certain things so you are accepted.
I personally think they could do more to try and help you succeed.

I had such low confidence before coming to GT thanks so much now im confident to do anything and i know i didn’t get accepted but i don’t mind to much because i’m going to come back bigger and better!

If you are that serious about being a model you would spend less time moaning like a baby! and you’d work on the parts that need work to succeed.
