My Friend got approached by a modelling agency called ur Models they want her to go to london for fashion shoot they say its for high street fashion modelling however I’m worried its a scam because they want a £75 booking deposits?
the company they want her to ho to is New York Fashion studios its at 199 warders street I’ve looked online and found loads of good reviews on you tube so it seems legit however i always think its good to ask other people for myself i figures that the model advice centre was a good company to ask as you know all the top model companies?
when she goes they are saying its for a test shoot and that she might not get chosen which seems pretty normal when i got offered my contract from my agency i only had to pay £50 booking deposits and i guess that is what worries me most £75 seems a strange amount!
If you have any info on them it would help me loads as i don’t want us to travel all the way from dublin for nothing as we have to take a ferry to wales and from there a five hour coach!
i googled ur models scam however i found reviews from people who have been unsuccessful complaining cos theydidnt get picked i know for fact this is normal people can be idiots i one heard someone
Any tips or advice? on ur models? have you used them? do you think that ur models scam is a thing or not!

NO not the first attempt i didn’t it took me four attempts to finally get accepted! If you want something enough you can get it if you focus!

Lets be honest if your good at something you don’t have to ‘try as hard as you can’ you’ll already excel at it however as you didnt it probably means your not cut out for the job.

Going to GT gave me a glimmer of hope for the future! Logan you say that commuting was the issue well if you get accepted you will have to commute all the time and its going to cost a fair bit but that is nothing compared to making £4000 a month is it really?!
Seems like your getting a little bit bitter! maybe re-apply? see where to go from there get some feedback?

This just sounds like your spitting out your dummy for attention now so ill say my peace here and leave it at that. the more you try the more successful you will be.
Nothing comes over night and certainly nothing is handed to you on a plate! not many people get it on there first attempt anyway they have to try a few times the more you try the more skilled you are the more they wont want to lose you so instead of having a paddy and throwing your toys out your pram think about how you can make it work.
Maybe i don’t want to try again my dreams have been crushed!

Im 18 and my dad came with me for my first stoot with GT models and i have to say i’m disappointed because he arranged this day for me after me bugging him for a while and we travelled from wales which you can imagine the cost for commuting but either way i wasn’t accepted! this made me mad because i put all my effort into it and came out of it with nothing. no success. What a joke actually left me livid mate.
Can’t begin to tell you the opportunities i have got because GT invested in me! Thank you so much!

Maybe because of your attitude? just a thought? most people have been accepted you only don’t get accepted if you don’t meet certain criteria. It seems you took it bad instead of taking it and changing it so you become successful.

The best day of my life is when GT offered me a career today … dad of five and i still have it!
When they had done with me i looked so good i decided to keep my make up on i didn’t want to go back to the old me since having my shoot i’ve done my make up every single day i look good whenever im going out compared to how i used to look like and believe me its not a pretty sight hahaha.
I fell in love with the decor of this place and the people it is so different to what you would expect
it is great isn’t it esme they treat you amazingly here i’ve recommended it to five of my friend and three have already signed up!
I felt like the whole day was about me.
I love the day in a whole however the commuting was a bit of a pain but other than that great place and great people.
I liked the experience it was fab. But the paperwork was the drag… but don’t let that put you off its an amazing opportunity especially if you get accepted like me.

I drove down and i found it to be a massive inconvenience as it turned out it cost more money to drive than it did to get the train. so my personal preference would be train.
Does anybody know if it would benefit me more getting the train or driving down because ive never been to london and im coming from wales…oh man im so excited!
